Proverbs 3:9 Honor the lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.

Many people think lastly of God's portion in their blessings, yet want all of God's blessings. The point is, in every thing that comes to us, we must learn to honour God. The challenge most time is that people do their budgets on the one hundred percent rather than setting aside the portion that belongs to God.

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

One of the way by which we remember the LORD our God is through our tithing. Tithe is a form of honour unto our God, it seems small out of our income, but, it's impact is much on our lives. I remember someone asking Bishop Oyedepo, "how did you get here?, his answer was, "God has never have to remind me of my tithe". I realized that everyone who enjoy open heavens are addicted tither.

Don't budget on the hundred percent, do your budgeting on your ninety and experience God's favour and mercy. Faithfulness in little is faithfulness in much. From today, starts practicing the principle of the first, when it comes to honouring God. Remove the tithe first, then start spending the rest. Don't start spending and then remember and pay your tithe, practice honour unto God.
