PUT OFF DISTRACTIONS
Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
The greatest challenge of the twenty first century believers are the distractions we face daily. You must understand that the things of the spirit require concentration and consecration. Alot of things will slip off without this truth being understood.
Jesus was admonishing in His teaching that, to get the best of God, you need to shut the door against distractions. Many people are distracted because they have not mastered the art of being alone and with the LORD. Let's do away with distractions all around us today. You need to learn the discipline of separation to talk with the LORD in prayer and studying of the word of God.
The reason people pray in the night is not because God answers prayer more in the night as much as dealing with distractions. He is the same God during the day and the night. Jesus in His earthly days and ministry always arise early before distractions.
Mark 1:35...And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed..."
What are your distractions? What are you willing to do about them? From this moment, start to eliminate them and create room for God in your time and space. The trajectory of your life will change for greater glory.
