DON'T FORGET

1 Kings 2:7 But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.

There is a saying in the west that says "it is in the time of serious trouble that we get to know real friend". Many people forget easily people who were there for them in the time of their trouble. Comfort has a way of healing our past pain, but don't forget those who stand with you when you had nothing.

In the journey of your life, always remember those that God used to support your journey. Sometimes the people may not be alive, but their children, support them as much as you can. Never allow their moment of humanity make you forget their good works. Don't ever allow their mistake make you rubbish their work of love towards you.

2 Samuel 9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Despite all that Saul did against David, he was still looking for someone to help in his household. David was never a covenant breaker, most people would have forgotten. He was willing to associate with a lame man, there was nothing about Mephibosheth, he was not even useful to his throne. Always remember, it is part of covenant responsibility with a great reward.

The Bloodline of a Victor

1 John 5:4-5 NKJV For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. [5] Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
