Prayer is not just what you do when you come to church but what you do all the time. Prayer is primarily communion with the Father. The place of prayer is the place where you have fellowship with Him and His secrets are made known.

Prayers shows that we are humble and ready to seek out things from the LORD. Talking to God about stuff shows that we are ready to seek for His wisdom. David was attacked and the emotions of everyone was high after their camp was attacked, but he refused to move on His emotion. He prayed to God and ask for His opinion about the matter.

Prayer is our access to divine secrets. God want to show us many things if only we would ask Him and allow Him on our matters. Take time to talk to Him about the current matter of your life, He will surely answer you.

Your access in prayers is based on Jesus presence behind the veil. Not everybody have this access except those who are born again. Are you born again? If not, you don't  have access, but it can be granted now. Accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.
