Proverbs 19:21 We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God's purpose prevails.

Having plans, options and brainstorming is not against Christianity, infact it is a commandment of the scripture. It is expected of every child of God to think, brainstorm very well, interact with appropriate wisdom to arrive at a decision.

Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. 2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Foolish people don't like meditation, they just want to express themselves. A man must separate himself and interact with all wisdom through knowledge. Foolish people just wait for things to play out on their own. God is interested in you taking time to think, God want you to meditate.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

The Holy Spirit is our advantage when we meditate, He brings God's intention to our understanding.
