Jeremiah 29:11 I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Your advantage in life is that you can know the will of God concerning any situation. For example, what is the will of God concerning your health? He want you to live healthy. Daniel knew the will of God for Israelites in exile was seventy years, then he started praying. Prayer begin where God's will is revealed to you.

God through Christ Jesus has predestined us unto adoption and planned out our lives for us before we appeared here. The most challenging thing is not realizing that God has a better plan than all our best of it. His plan is better, superior and glorious when understood.

One of the ways by which you can  be aligned in His will is by praying more in the spirit. There are deep things of God concerning your life that only by tongue and interpretation you can unearth them within you. Don't try to use your mind alone to navigate life, there is a spirit in man that guides better.

Job 32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. 8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Experience does not always equal wisdom, the Spirit of the Lord is the One that teaches it. There is an eternal counsel of God for your life, study God's word and pray in the spirit often for alignment and fulfilment.
