John 6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Thanksgiving is what people do after they have seen the miraculous, but that is not faith based worship and praise. Everything and anything that will be pleasing unto God has to be done in faith and by faith. You cannot see the supernatural interventions  without the release of your faith. 

Think about this, Jesus is the word personified, but He taught by words and demonstrations. This implied that all of His actions and actions were teaching. Look at the above situation, they had nothing and what they even got eventually seems like a drop in the ocean, it's insignificant, but Jesus gave thanks. 

For the little to become abundant, learn to give thanks. If He gave thanks to command surplus, it means, what we desire is not far, if only, we'll be at the centre of His will. Give thanks for that matter and rejoice in Him even when you don't see result or faces opposition. This is the will of God... 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

You see, the move the Spirit of God is not far, but it is through thanksgiving that we amplified it, so that we do not quench His manifestation through complaining and murmuring. Read this carefully: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit.
