Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

God's call has always been to be separated from the world. A believer is not and will never be of the world, the world cannot understand him and thereby hated by the same. The challenge is believers wanting to be loved and accepted by the world.

God called Abraham out of his father's house and the land he's been familiar with. He has to be separated from Lot before God could speak about next phase to him. The word 'Lot' means veil, it then mean as long as Lot is with him, there are dimensions of God he wouldn't see.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

As a believer, you must be separated from the world's ways of doing things. You have advantage like Daniel in Babylon. The good thing is, we have the Holy Spirit in us and with us. You don't need to please the world, just walk with God, but do your work among men with such dignity and excellence. Let your light so shine and they will glorify God through you.
