BITTERNESS DESTROYS - Pt Two

Hebrews 12:15 Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many.

Bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It is important to note that Satan will always bring occasion to try and bait us. When you have bitterness towards someone, there is nothing that can be right about them to you. Your focus will be about their error no matter their exploit.

The Bible says that Judas was stealing from the purse, that little foxes open other doors in his life. That little foothold of darkness in his heart opened the doors to more darkness. It was with that lense of greed he spoke when Jesus was being publicly honoured and perfumed.

Judas was offended in Jesus action when the women with the alabaster box perfumed Jesus in Peter the leper's house. Jesus response offended him and bitterness towards Jesus crept in. Nobody should treat bitterness with kid gloves, it is destructive in nature.

Matthew 26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

It wasn't Judas alone in Matthew's account that spoke, but he was the only one that got offended with Jesus response. One little sin will lead to another act of sin, beware.

The Bloodline of a Victor

1 John 5:4-5 NKJV For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. [5] Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
