Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

The truth about life is that, the enemy will always want you to think, he has a last say. But in God, there is no close door. The reason is, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, this implied that, in any circumstances, there would always be a way out for God's children, except we don't believe. 

There is a painting called checkmate, which was placed in the tourist centre for people to see. This painting shows how a man was playing a chess game with the devil, but seems cornered by him and he does not have a new move. In that painting, it looked like the man has been trapped. 

However, there's a deeper layer to the story, as the painting's chess position suggests the man actually has a winning move, indicating that even when facing seemingly impossible odds, there's always hope. A chess player saw the painting and saw that the man who seems trapped still has the King's move on the board. 

No matter what you are faced right now, the King of glory still has a move and can never be trapped. Wake and rejoice because, your salvation is nearer than ever. Rejoice because when we were dead in sin and we seemed trapped, hope lost, the King made a move through His Son and now we are more than conqueror through Him who loved us. The devil has been checkmate, so rejoice and see your victory.
