Deuteronomy 1:27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

The way you think determines a lot of things about you and the outcome of your life. You don't originate thoughts, they are received or imposed. The natural man is highly influenced by his environment and demonic forces. Most people think they are responsible for their thoughts, no, you are not responsible for them. 

You are only responsible for the thought you permit or engaged either by what you read, who you interact with or what you watch. Your interactions with your environment can limit you, be intentional about your thought life. Whatever dominates your thought will control your life. 

Deuteronomy 1:28 Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

They never experienced any defeat as they left Egypt, yet, the thought of defeat was introduced to them by their brethren. In Genesis chapter three, Satan introduced to the woman a thought of rebellion, the end was death. None of the children of Israel who embraced those negative thoughts made it to the promised land. Be careful what you allow in your thoughts.
