John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 

The plan of God is for all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of His Son. For God so loved the world and He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. Faith in what He came to do is the entry point into God's eternal rest. 

1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

When Jesus was leaving, He told His disciples to go into all the world and witness His resurrection unto all nations. God's desire is that all men would acknowledge the sacrifice of Christ through the cross, His resurrection, ascension and the outpouring of the Spirit of grace. 

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 

God has ordained you and I as a witness of His resurrection. This is our message, that Jesus is the Saviour of the world. The blessings comes with being a witness. Acts 4:33 (NLT) The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all.
