2 Timothy 2:14 Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them. 15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.

Today, there are lots of things flying around, the strategy of the enemy is to see that more people are confused about their stand in Christ and what has been done for them through the finished work. 

The Lord want everyone of His children to be students of the word. However, the purpose of studying is not to show to anyone what you know but to gain His approval. What God expects of you is that, when you show up in His presence, you must present yourself in accordance with knowledge of the of your newness of life and not deadness of letters. 

Romans 3:4 Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.”

The purpose of studying is first for your advantage. Let God's word change and transforms you. Don't try to win in words with men,  win in words in His presence.  Avoid conversation that can lead men to live a godless life. We are not studying to gain acceptance of men, but His word is life to us. 

It was the same thing God told Joshua when Moses died, this book of the law should not depart from your mouth. In order words, you must be speaking His word to yourself; and then you will make your way prosperous and have good success. 

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Take a few moment today and study His word, read a spiritual material that will bless your spirit and transforms your life.
