Complacency is a very dangerous state any purposeful man can be. You can't be complacent with life and be purpose-driven at the same time. Complacency kills the hunger for more, and when hunger ends, impacts and greatness end.

Complacency limit potentials. God's Spirit is your potential, ans unlimited in nature. He gave you the Spirit without measure. However, giving expression to the abilities of the Spirit is based on your willingness. 

Complacency starts when you start accepting mediocrity, measuring your achievements with what other. While the Lord Jesus clearly states the difference between God's blessings, and complacency, a state of spiritual stagnation and apathy. He encouraged his us to be content with what we have, while we must also be zealous in our pursuit of lies ahead of us in Him.
