Colossians 2:8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

The message of Jesus is not a human theory, philosophy, cultural ideology neither is it for behavioural modification though you'll be changed. The gospel of Christ is the revelation of God's righteousness to man. The premise for Sonship and unhindered relationship with the Father God.

Romans 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The greatest challenge of this message is addition by men. Most time people think that the gospel of Christ is not powerful enough to set free, except with some addition. In some cases, some have gone with a fraction of the message and present it as a whole. Some while transiting from their cultural believes, behaviour and ways have also carried over into Christianity traditional beliefs. Some cultural values might be good, however we cannot substitute gold for brass.  No matter how lofty our cultural values are, they must be judge on the premise of God's word.

You can power your ideas by your effort, but the gospel is powered in a believer's life through the Holy Spirit. The quality of life in a Christian is the same as the one in Christ. The supply of this quality of life is from the Spirit of God to us. This life is superior to any kind of life, no matter how loft it looks, if it is alienated from God's eternal life.

No matter what, stay connected with Him, His joy will continue to be your strength. A believer can't go far in this life without being connected with Him.

John 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
