1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

People have fear for different reasons, but the origin of fear is sin. The fall of man brought fear and since all men came from Adam until Christ, it was passed down. Fear is of the devil and not of God, that is why Paul wrote that "God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love...".

The truth is, without the love of God dominating and ruling our heart, we cannot enjoy our relationship one with another. One commentator wrote that without the heart being established in God's love, we become suspicious of people and doubt their love for us. This is where Satan thrive with his lies and create discord in the body of Christ.

Ephesians 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.

There is only on thing I know cure fear, it is God's love. Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. This is what remove fear, knowing that God's love is unfailing and is eternal.
