Deuteronomy 8:4 Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. 5 You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.

The children of Israel walk in the wilderness for forty years circling the same mountain. What a journey? In the course of their journey, the pillar of fire and the cloud led the way for them. But the interesting thing is that, their foot did not swell walking those distance. Another thing is, their garments did not wear out. What a miracle. 

Have you been in a situation where God is sustaining you in the wilderness? It may seems as if your life running in circle, you see, you don't have much or left over, but you have your timely help when need arises. Most time we celebrate abundance, we shout when it comes, but often when don't celebrate our sustenance in the our wilderness. 

It takes less power to produce abundance than to sustain in the wilderness. So if you are being sustained, you are already seeing the power of God in abundance. Your wilderness is a place of pruning by the Lord, He shapes your life to fit in into His eternal purpose. It's also a place where many become offended. If you don't want to be caught in the offence, celebrate every little wonders of God you see in the wilderness. It may be five loaf and two fishes, don't complain, give thanks, then the wilderness will become a fruitful field.
