Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

The greatest thing happen when we accept Christ Jesus as our Lord. He becomes our Shepherd and we become His sheep. Outwardly, it may seems as if everything is still the same, but inwardly, something mighty is already going on. The life of God is born within and will eventually find expressions outwardly. 

Psalms 100:3 Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

The above Psalm is saying to us, be conscious of this truth that you are God's sheep. This was the understanding that David had when he said 'the Lord is my Shepherd'. When we read through Psalm 23, you will clearly see the joy of the Lord being our Shepherd.

Once you are born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit, your water can no longer fail. No matter what's happening in the world, you have all that it takes to walk in victory. You are not trying to be victorious as believer, you have victory and more than conqueror.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Rest in this truth, you are not ordinary, you belong to God and have overcome because the One inside of you (the Holy Spirit) is greater than the one (Satan) that is in the world. Halleluyah! The Lord is your shepherd, follow His leading and direction.
