Luke 18:29 So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

[30]who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

From the patriarch of faith Abraham, it has been seen that nobody serves the Lord and loose in anyway. The first thing He said to Abraham was to leave his land and everything and follow Him to a place to be discovered.

Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

Abraham has never been to this land before, he has to depend on God to lead him. This is the walk of faith. The same is required of you today, you need to depend on the Lord to lead you to His preplanned greatness for your life. Faith is depending on the Lord to lead the way to the promise He has made. 

II Corinthians 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

This can be challenging to the natural man, but a spiritual man knows that God's foolishness is wiser than man's wisdom. This man of faith abandoned everything he's familiar with and followed God. Just follow, people may call you names, follow and rely on Him. 

Jesus met Peter and asked him to abandoned fishing profession to follow Him, he did, so Peter asked in our opening scripture and Jesus answered and said, "there is nothing you leave behind for the kingdom that is a loss, you will have it back here and there in eternity. In this kingdom, you don't lose, you'll always get back much more.
