Philippians 4:15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.

God rewards partnership with Him, this He does in different ways. You must first believe that God reward giving towards His cause. If you don't believe this, the enemy will tamper with whatever blessings, earthly ones that you are supposed to access. While I understand that many people have misconception about how God bless, the truth is, God blesses His people. 

In scripture, the blessing and the blessings are different. While the initial is Christ as our blessing in Abraham, there is also the blessings which includes riches. The word of God is clear about this, and all through the scripture, this is exemplified. He told the Israelites to take gold and silver because they originally belong to Him. He simply transfer it overnight to His children while leaving Egypt. 

The purpose of that gold and silver is for the building of the church in the wilderness. The same today, God want to bless you so that you can partner with Him. So He will test you with little and see how faithful you'll be and then increase you from one level to another. The Macedonia church were in partnership with Apostle Paul, the reason He prayed for them.
