Isaiah 50:7 (MSG) And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me, so I'm not disgraced. Therefore I set my face like flint, confident that I'll never regret this.

When men help, it is according to their ability, but God is limitless in His abilities to help us. So it is better to trust God than to put our hope in man. This year, make sure you set your face like a Flint, and be confident that you will never be put to shame in any matter of life and destiny. 

Be confident in God's word, that He will never do otherwise of what He has promised you. God and His word are the same, His promises are sure forever. There was famine in the land of Israel at a time, a woman cried to the king for help, that's someone that people think has limitless power in the land, but his response will shock you. He said "if God does not help you, where will I get help".

2 Kings 6:27 And he said, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”

The simple truth from this statement is, it God who actually help us, though He uses the instrument called men. Men are limited, focus on God and trust in Him for whatever you need or desire. He is our ever present help in the time of need, don't be too smart to trust in Him, the only thing with this is disappointment. As you journey this year, don't focus on men, but God.
