Citizenship is a very powerful thing, the place of your birth or your country of origin. Being a citizen of a country is different from having a permit to live in a place or to work in such county. Having permit to work is different from being a citizen, there are benefits a citizen enjoy that your work permit will never give you. You can be working in God's Kingdom by permit, being a citizen is far better and rewarding.

When Jesus was speaking with Nicodemus, He told him about being born again, He was speaking from the above revelation about being born into the city of God called Zion. To become the citizen of this country, you must be born of God. The reason is, He is the maker and the builder of this glorious city.

Hebrews 11:10,16 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

Today, recognize that you belong to a country beyond your natural place of birth. The benefits of this country belongs to you, desire it and ask for them. If you are not a citizen, this is your opportunity to be born again also, accept Jesus as your personal LORD and Saviour and then you also will become a citizen of God's heavenly Kingdom.
