Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.

The reason the people of the world walk and work the way they do is because of the nature they have, the life in them. This nature is what make them do and behave the way they do.  The nature of sin in them is what empowers them to live a sinful life. 

The life of sinners are cut off from God's life so there is no supply from Him to them, this give devil access to blind and darkened their heart.  But you are not like them, you have been accepted in the beloved. 

The word of God to us today is saying, don't copy the world systems of operation, their understanding is darkened and blinded. No matter what the world is presenting today, it will eventually lead to vanity.  So believers are not supposed to copy the world but they learning from us. The very life we have and carry is the life that created all things. We have the creative nature and life of God. 

We don't try to copy the way of the world, we don't lie to get contract,  we don't sleep with men so as to get things done, we don't dress like them for attention etc.  A believer is the lord of all things,  we are to be envied and celebrated not pitied.

Today,  see yourself the way God is seeing you,  don't be deceived, recognize the life you have within you. Focus and be strong because the world will try to pull you to itself. Remember, you have been blessed with higher life.
