Isaiah 40:6 The voice said, “Cry out!” And he said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

In this passage, the word of the Lord came to the prophet to make announcement that all flesh is grass, the beauty you see today will fade off. But ended it by saying God's word stands forever. This shows that, things in life is always  depreciating, but with the word, you are sure of refreshing life. The word is the source of life for all things, so keep hearing and studying God's word for life. 

This implies that if I can infuse God's word into my being, no matter what comes my way, I will stand. Our empowerment comes from God's word, not our circumstances or situations. Today, your circumstances or situations around you may be favourable, but may change tomorrow, it is the word that equipped you with strength to stand strong. 

If you read to the end of this chapter, you will see how those who wait on the Lord have their strength renewed. This shows that, though other flowers around may withered, but if I stayed on the word, you will be refreshed and rejuvenated. God's word is the source of life, when you stayed on it, you will be receiving life and light at the same time.
