Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. 

Prayer is not an option for believers, it is a calling. You may drop everything, but don't drop the ministry of prayers and the word. You may drop your stewardship in church, drop your giving, drop evangelism, but never drop the two I mentioned earlier. The beauty of it is that, doing those two will bring you back into the things you dropped and much more. 

However, if you are doing all that I mentioned and you drop prayer and word, you will soon drop the those things you are doing. Prayer and the word is the life wire of Christianity. If you are not praying, you will become a prey. Jesus is the word of God made flesh, but His ministry depended so much on prayers. He showed by example that without prayer, much cannot be achieved. 

Ezekiel 22:30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

God was looking for a man to stand for the land in prayers, when there was none, then His judgement was released on the land. If we don't stand up against some things in prayers, we'll be shock that the enemy will seem to gain more land. Today, wake up, tell the devil or that situation, enough is enough. Tell that sickness, it is over, declare, no more delays, I cannot suffer for what Christ has paid for again.
