Psalms 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. 12 Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. 13 With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth.

God's word is our daily food as believers, if we ignor it, it will show in our spiritual appearance. Just like natural meal, so also is the spiritual. Your strength depends on it for stamina, the more you stay off meal the weaker you become. You must study your bible daily, reading alongside your daily inspirational devotion of PDC Global. 

David in the scripture above help us to understand how studying and meditating on God's word has helped him live above sin. The moment you see that your appetite for sin is increasing, just set out time to deal with such appetite focusing on God's word. The word of God is like water, it will wash off those desires and you'll be free. 

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word... "

The word has capacity to wash off anything that is not of God in us. You can stand against sin, poverty, perversions, hopelessness etc if you will stay with the word of God. Read your bible daily. Many people read their bible when they are in trouble, no, read daily, meditate on the same. Any scripture that stand out for you should be your meditation throughout the day.
