Hebrews 6:7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God. 

The truth is, unless we cultivate our land, it does not give us desire harvest. Your harvest is based on your plantation, so you must cultivate your field and plant appropriate seeds you desire. While many people desire good and great harvest, they hardly plant the seeds of their desire. Uncultivated land will definitely grow something, but the end of fire. 

Hebrews 6:8 but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Every flowers you see somewhere and admire is because they are being cultured. Every one of them have capacity to grow wild, so the beauty is because someone was working it. God started the work and expected us to continue after the order. You see, God in Genesis planted a garden and asked the man to tend and to keep it. You also have been given abilities to tend and to keep yours today. 

You must cultive your spiritual garden, nurturing your fellowship with the Lord. Your personal development garden, growing your mind for effectiveness in life etc. God has given us all that pertains to life and godliness, all that is required for our effectiveness and efficiency.
