John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

One the most powerful thing you can ever understand in your walk with God is knowing the active and positional truth. Many people run with positional truth and some other flow with active truth. But you cannot effectively walk and run the race of life on one leg, you need the two to have balance in life. 

What is positional truth? This is your current position with God through Christ Jesus and they are unchanging no matter what. The reason many people get swept off is because they don't know the positional truth about their new life in Christ Jesus. Every believer must be well established in this facts. 

For example, if you are born again, you have a new life which is the God kind of life. This truth must be solid in you, with this truth, you should be able to react against anything that is not of God that Satan is trying to force on you. However, you may not be able to walk in the reality of this truth without active truth. 

Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
