FREEDOM FROM SHAME - Pt Two
Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Shame is one of Satan's weapon that forces people into all manner of evil. The moment Adam messed up in Eden, shame sets in and they went and hide themselves among trees. The next things is that all manner of lies and deception sets in for them.
The belief that you have done wrong as well as the thing that makes you feel bad is shame. Someone experiencing shame may not be able to identify their positive qualities or see themselves in a good light. You may even be thinking that everyone is judging you, this is why people isolate themselves where the enemy is able to properly messed them up mentally, spiritually and in their relationship both with God and man.
Accept responsibility for your mistakes but reject shame. Facing what you have done wrong is the first steps toward forgiving yourself. You must be able to separate yourself from your wrong doings, understand that God loves you unconditionally. Unless you properly see yourself in the light of what Christ has done for you, accepting God's love and believing in the same, shame will cripple your life.
God's unconditional love is the real cure for shame. Always separate yourself from events and see beyond your current realities, see into your realities in Christ Jesus. Feed on God's love consistently, then you'll see your true worth to God and in Him. Read Ephesians 3:19 and meditate on it more and more "to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
