Colossians 2:1 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,

Every believer must walk daily in the consciousness of their identity in Christ Jesus. It is important to know who you are in Christ much more than you know your telephone number. Sounds funny right, yes, you need to walk daily in the consciousness of who you are in Him. Knowledge is powerful when it comes your identity. 

Without the knowledge of your identity, the enemy will easily frustrate the future ordained for you in Jesus. When you don't know who you are, you will get yourself involved in things that can truncate your future. My prayer is that this would not be your experience in Jesus name. David had understanding of his identity, he defeated Goliath while others we paralyzed for lack of it. 

Lamentations 1:9 She defiled herself with immorality and gave no thought to her future. Now she lies in the gutter with no one to lift her out. “Lord, see my misery,” she cries. “The enemy has triumphed.”

The reason she defiled herself was because she didn't understand nor realised how peculiar she is and how much is in her future.  A man in honour, but doesn't know is like the beast of the field that perished.
