Genesis 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments.

God told Jacob to go Bethel where he had an encounter with Him when he was running away from his brother Esau. It was in that place he had God's visitation and made a vow unto the Lord. You also can remember the place of your first and encounter with the LORD. Remember how you used to love the LORD and serve His purposes.

Bethel is a place of encounter and the revelation of your identity. It is where you begin a journey towards God's plans and purposes. It is a defining place in your life, a place of total separation form the old and the new. It's a turning, a place of wrestling where the new birthed. It is a place where you are delivered from the gods of this world. It a place where you put off the old garment and put on the garment of righteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Jacob said to his household, put away strange gods, be clean, change your garment. You also must put to death the works of the flesh and be separate from the things of the world. 

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Stand in the love of God and put away the things of the world. This is your season of visitations from the LORD. To experience accelerated elevation, you must travel without baggages.
