II Kings 4:2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

It is clear that God becomes limited when we don't follow His instructions. The proof of faith is obedience. If you truly believe God's word, you will obey, in other words, disobedience is a proof of unbelief. When you act according to His word, you will see result of His command. 

Peter lend Jesus His boats for ministry, he had toiled all night and they caught nothing. Jesus after His ministration simply told Peter to launch into the deep, in fact, the instruction was to use his nets. Peter responded by saying, "we have toiled all night and caught nothing, however, because of what you said, I will let down my 'net' instead of 'nets'. 

2 Kings 5:11 But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’

The resulting effect of obedience was seen in the life Naman who was instructed by the prophet to dip in Jordan seven times but had a different opinion. Many people are missing God's manifestation because they have different opinion from the instruction given to them. Apparently, he didn't like the pattern of instruction given to him. Today, follow any instruction given to you in the word and those you receive in your local assembly according to the written word.
