Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

There is no such thing as private honour, it must be on a public display. You cannot love the LORD and hide it, it will show in your commitment to Him. You will be involved in evangelism, prayers, stewardship within the church etc. When the honour for the LORD rules your heart, it will affect every aspect of your life and that includes your possession.

There are people who have never volunteered for anything of God in their life. Jesus is their Savour, the only challenge with this is that He has not been permitted as their LORD. There are people that God cannot give instructions, such as forgiving someone who has offended them, they will rather remain in bondage.

The moment you are second guessing God's instructions through His servant in the church, you are already walking in dishonour. Some people will claim it is only God that can instruct them not a pastor or head of unit. The only challenge with this is that if you can't obey the man you can see, it is going to be difficult to obey God.

Joshua 4:10 So the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and crossed over.

Joshua only saw victory because he follow the instructions of Moses as documented for him. He received the same as God's word for him. Galatians church received Paul as Christ, that honour that command result. Galatians 4:14 And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
