I Peter 1:23 Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

Apostle Peter recognized that we have been redeemed or become born again through an incorruptible word of God. This is very powerful, the word cannot be corrupted. This means that a child of God cannot be corrupted because of the nature He now has in Christ Jesus. 

Many Christian are not aware of their nature so they live below expectation. Some give excuse for living a life of mediocrity, they accept corruption as part of their nature. You have to think purity, your belief is what drives your actions. If you are born of incorruptible seed, then live as such that cannot be corrupted. 

I Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

It is in knowing who you are that your life begin to change. You must recognize your position and live accordingly. Stop giving excuses for living in sin, deal with that weakness. While God's position towards you cannot change, sin will destroy the potential of your mind to walk in the light. And an unconfessed sin will make you become reprobate eventually.
