LEARN TO HONOUR - Pt Two

Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Honour is not paying lip service to someone or something, honour is action-oriented. You cannot honour someone or something without it showing in your attitude and actions towards the same. Whatever you honour the most takes the most significant place in your life.

The beautiful thing about God is that if you honour Him, He will honour you back. God does not ignore honour, rather, He rewards it. The difference between Cain and Abel is honour. What made God establish David's throne and reject Saul was honour. The dangerous thing about honour is this, it is from the heart. So what is done physically may be seen by men, but God is looking at the heart of honour.

At the core of obedience is honour. Honour is fueled by humility and dishonor by pride. Not only this, people dishonor because of offenses, which is inevitable. No matter what, fight pride and offenses and it will be easy for you to release honour.
