Joy is not the same thing as happiness, when we talk about joy, it comes from the Spirit of the Lord within us. It is the joy of the Lord that is our strength.
Nehemiah 8:10..."Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
You must never allow sorrow within your soul, no matter what is going on around you, rejoice. There are certain things that will confront you in life, but be rest assured that you are more than conqueror, so rejoice.
Proverbs 17:22 A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression.
Never allow anything to steal your joy. Paul says "rejoice, again I say rejoice. Read the opening scripture again and see: "it says, joy releases glory". If joy bring glory, then depression will bring shame. Choose joy, you can rejoice in the Lord by looking at all His goodness in your life.

Confession: I declare that I am full of joy, it well up from within me and God's glory is revealed upon me in Jesus Name.
