The disciples of Jesus were terrified seeing Jesus, not sure whether He is the one or not, they were thinking of many things. The same happen to us, a small pain in part of the body, certain thoughts begin to bring fear of what may never happen to us. Most people opens the door to sickness as a result of fear.

There are many things that you have thought will lead to shame and reproaches that never happen to you. Jesus asked them, "why are you guys entertaining such thoughts? Note: it was their thoughts that caused the trouble in their heart. This is the reason we are admonished to guard our hearts.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

You cannot keep your heart through thoughts but through the word of God. Proverbs 12:23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness. The knowledge talks about the word of God. David said " Psalms 119:98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

You become wise through God's word. Feed yourself with God's word.
